I? have had the Mophie for my iPhone 3G for about 3 or 4 months now. The phone is over 2 years old, but I had a few months remaining on my contract and the phone's battery was showing signs of weakness. I bought the Mophie to get me through my contract until a new iPhone was possible. I enjoyed it immensely until 2 days ago when the little switch to activate the Mophie battery seemed to break. Now I cannot access the external battery at all. This thing lasted for a very short time. Poor quality.

But I have a white iPhone and got the white case and my case is hard plastic than a rubber material. The only downside to the product it the adapter that come with the case. It's way too flimsy and comes off too easily during charge. Usually I like to use my phone during charge but it annoys me so much that? the cable falls out and it won't hold on. In other words the product is at its best

I just got the incipio offgrid battery case. It's thinner then the juice pack, and it has a more consistent finish so it feels really good in the hand. $50 on amazon *I RECOMMEND GETTING THE MATTE FINISH*? it's a special edition, the regular offgrid has a candy-shell finish. Overall I think incipio has made the superior product at a lower price point, but mophie is know for the juice pack so it's usually the first case people think of when buying something like this.

This video was taken in September, mophie has changed? their design since. The new design is much more effective. The top comes off instead of the bottom, allowing the case to slip in and out smoothly. Hope this answers questions.

Fantastic and comprehensive review, very well done. I was wondering about the round button on the bottom of the phone that allows you too check the battery strength or charge level. If you place the phone in a dock or say a cradle, will the bottom be in the way, I'm not sure how far it sticks? out from the bottom. Not related to this video but is there a better charging system like a mat or whatever that would not require me too connect a cable to it at night when I do an overnight charge

It has to be 1280 x 720, it's the ration more than the resolution, it has to be 16:9. It's the same ratio as the normal quality, YouTube just drops? down the resolution when encoding it for playback and makes two versions of the same file, one for HD and one for normal.

I have a back up battery like this but of a different brand and i love it! But i would like it even more if it had a 30 pin extender so it doesn't feel so awkward when i'm using it also so it doesn't? block the headphone jack. But it gets the job done\!

Is the idea to keep the battery charged in case you need it? How well does it hold that charge? Would you need to regularly discharge it? I imagine if it had a full charge in my bag, then I needed it a month later it wouldn't provide a full charge and? may deteriorate the battery.
