@DeaconShadow Well you'd half expect that given the mind-boggling pace of technology, but remember that these machines are the foundation on which everything we use today ,exists. In other words, we probably wouldn't have GUI-powered phones and what-not if it werent for things like the iMac starting things off. You have to start somewhere and this was a breakthrough back then,? and got the ball rolling for future devices. Cheers

@DeaconShadow Modems were I think. But fast ethernet that let you use? Cable or T1 internet connections or connect multiple pc's together, wasn't, I know, un-thinkable today but that's what it was like back then. Other methods for networking like parallel serial and thinnet interfaces existed, but they never caught on as a standard like ethernet did. It was the ture sucessor to AppleTalk and BNC Thick/thin-net wires. Cheers

steve wasn't a genius, he just had very good foresight and common sense. You dont have to be Albert to work out that maybe you could make a touchscreen phone or an all-in-one pc. Other companies were trying these things long before apple, Steve? just pulled everypne together and said "right! This is what we're going to make, no daft company policies, no artificial restrictions, lets make something brill, in other words, most peoples dreams executed by a man who had the balls to do it, class.
