When does this game come out?? It's all pretty neat stuff but I hope I'm not? the only one who thinks the normal 2D organized desktop icons are the easiest and best way to use your files & icons.. It's why I like my PC so much because IRL all my shit is stacked on top of each other and I can never find anything.. now that you have this little engine going use it to make some nice pc games for Armorgames call one of them DRAGON CROSS All this icon micro is making me want to play an RTS

what the fuck is wrong with this guy. laptops are obviously the better choice. first of all you can pick yourself up a pretty damn good laptop for gaming.? i have a gaming laptop. the specs are the i7 2630qm 8gb of ram, the nvidia gefore 460m with a 1920x1080 resolution. it will run any game i throw at itincluding crysis on its highest setting. plus i can take it all around the house amd to my friends house

@ImCalledJackk No, not at all. Modern laptops are not as good as modern desktops, because the components aren't full sized in a laptop. With desktops, there is no size or battery limitations like there are on laptops. ? I have a huge 12 inch graphics card, you can't fit it in a laptop. That's why they make "versions" of the same component with a fraction of the performance. If you want a faster computer, desktops will always win. It's like comparing an iPhone to a Laptop.

All modern laptops are as fast? as desktops, (not that that matters unless you're a gamer or something), and lithium batteries have overcharge protection, it's better to have it plugged in where you can, rather than charging and draining constantly.

If they like moving from room to room with their computer, or bring it to many different places, you should definitely get a laptop.? Fact of the matter, most people don't run around the house with a laptop. They stay in the same spot with it plugged into the charger. That's not only slower than a desktop, it's also bad for the battery.

I got my hands on Thinkpad T400s with a intel gfx and a SSD, grabbed the latest Ubuntu Karmic and tried it out. The major 3D problems on intel gfx seems to be fixed for good.

SDK and such don't realy run very well at Win7 and my Win7 is a *secure copy* so can't update.. xP But i'm learning Linux/Unix now and hopefully i'll expand my knowledge^^ btw. i got 8GB RAM and 1GB graphic memory, i just inserted only 2GB RAM and the 1GB or graphic - it runs very very smooth and it's fast not lagging or such.

I still love this video. When I started experimenting with Linux in 2007 I liked this video a lot. I have a laptop with a Sempron 2600+, the nvidia 6200 and 512mb of ram. Back at the days I had a dualboot computer with XP and tried ubuntu. Nowadays I use macpup 5.2.8 and my old machine still flies and looks better than vista. Niiiiiiiiiiiiice. Desktop Effects on UBUNTU 8.04, i think those effects are more advanced and cool than the ones you can get on Mac Apple. The way to have a cool desktop. TO GET ALL THOSE EFFECTS, INSTALL ComipizConfig Settings Manager, THEN, FROM ITS CONTROL PANEL, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO ACTIVATE AND SELECT THE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS OF EVERY EFFECT.
